HoPe (House of Peace)

This vegetarian restaurant is hidden in a residential area in Jl. Erlangga, South Jakarta. Not too many vegetarian restaurants are open in South, mostly in North; but with the recent trend on green living, some are starting to open in South Jakarta. HoPe was opened in 2008, it  first started as a meditation place and later on expand to vegetarian restaurant and yoga studio.

Derived from Latin meaning banquet or feast; this cozy Italian restaurant with a family friendly atmosphere is decorated with various ornaments from story books, cook books, empty bottles of Acqua Panna, olive oil and just stuff you usually found in a house or kitchen. Perfect for family gathering or arisan.

Sushi-Ya boasts itself as an affordable sushi place. Being curious at how Sushi and affordable could be in one sentence, I managed to eat at one of their branches in Gandaria City.

Coklat Item

When I read the name Coklat Item (dark chocolate), I thought its specialty was Molten Lava. I was so wrong! It turned out to be a drink, a mix of dark chocolate and coffee. Since I wanted something refreshing after I had the fulfilling fried rice, I opted for Es Ketan Ijo and as the dessert Poffertjes Roly Poly In The Snow.

I was looking for some cheap eats in Gandaria City and decided to have lunch in Baso. Their specialty is meatball soup, but eating meatball soup alone was not enough for me. Then I decided to have Nasi Goreng Baso (Meatball Fried Rice) and Rosella Lime.

Black Canyon Coffee

I was going to have lunch in Goela Djawa; sadly, it was closed for good :(.
I guess it didn't get enough publication. The food was not bad, most importantly it was very affordable. The last time I had arisan there, it was around 18-20 people and it only cost around Rp 500.000,-

So, in search for a free wifi, I went to Citos. I decided to go to Black Canyon Coffee. Black Canyon Coffee is a franchise restaurant from Thailand, has already opened several branches in Indonesia.

I wanted something sour and refreshing for dessert, my immediate thought was Sour Sally, but then I remember Smooch. It is the new fro-yo shop in Pondok Indah Mall 1, located in Area 51.
